Evaluation
For this assignment we have had six weeks to complete the task, working in groups of 4/5. In the group we all had different jobs of what we had to do to make our final outcome to as high a standard as we could. Everyone had to complete there own task within the group for it to be classed as proper team work.
First we had to create an idea for put BBC 2 Ident that we all liked and all agreed on and thought would look and work well within in the assignment. We then all agreed on the idea of dropping the number 2 into a load of skittles as we thought this would make a great picture and a dramatic effect if put into slow motion.
First of all we had to do a range of test shoots to see if our idea really worked the way we wanted it to - we had to hire a time to use the studio so that we could practice these shoots. We did this about 2/3 times to make sure we got it perfect. During this we figured out how many skittles we needed if we needed more or less (the answer was more) we all put money into buying all the bags of skittles so it was fair - also we figured out how heavy we need to make the number 2 and what size we needed to make it etc.
Once we had done all this we could then get on with making our number to - we created this within the college using cardboard/paper mache and paint, this took use a few days to make as we had to leave time for each of the layers to dry. But this was no problem as we did it over the end of the week when we didn't need to use it - this meant people in the group coming in on one of the fridays to finish painting it, but this was not a problem as they were coming in anyway. we took it in turns to cut out the different layers of the number two - so we were all chipping in at some point.
It was when it came to doing the paper mache and paining the 2, two of the team members seemed to take over and do this part on there own and didn't think about including the rest of the group!
During the process of making and filming the outcome other small films were made of the working progress. These were then posted onto our blogs to show what we had been doing. (i took the short films to document the progress)
Once all this was done and our final piece had been filmed it was now time for it to be edited so it was how we really wanted it to look - we decided we were going to slow it all down and the reverse the film! We thought this would create a great image and it really worked well and made the effect of the skittles really stand out - which is one of the main things we were trying to create in the first place. To edit our final piece we thought again two members of the group took this over - admittedly one of them was set the task of the editor but they didn't really try and included us in what was happening or what they were going to do.
Over all i really like the idea we have come up with and i think it looks and works really well and i am very happy with the final outcome but i would have liked it and it would have maybe been more fun if our group had come together and bit more and communicated with each other as it was kind of split in two. This problem could be solved or next time different groups could be made - think most people agree.
And over all i think everyone in the group is pleased with our final BBC 2 IDENT :)

Our final Video Before Editing...
* Now that our final number 2 is painted and completed we could begin to start our final shoot. Two of our other team mates came into college on a spare friday to painted the number 2, as it needed time to dry after it was paper mached on the wednesday.
* After this we then did 2/3 more test shoots in the studio to make sure it all worked and fitted with the plan how we wanted it too.
* All the test shoots went to plan and we then took our final film for the BBC 2 ident.
* We are going to edit our final BBC ident - we will do this by reversing the clip in slow motion to show the effect that the skittles make.
*The editing shouldn't take long - as the editor should be okay if they grasp how to use the software easily. (Editor Jordon)

This is the start of editing our final video:
To edited the clip we used 'final cut pro'. Firstly we had to drag our clip into final cut pro, and then we 'renderder' it so that it would play. After rendering the clip we got rid of the audio, and to do this we had to go onto 'modify' and then down to 'link' and then this was able to let us click on the audio and then press delete to get rid of it. We then had to slow the movie down and reverse it, so do to this we went onto 'modify' then down to 'speed' and then a box popped up and we clicked 'revers' ad changed the speed from 100% to 50%. We then needed to cut the clip so we went to the cut icon on the right hand side, and then clicked onto the part that we wanted to cut, and preset delete so then we were left with the part of the clip we wanted.
After doing this we decided to add another video to make it longer and it give it more of an effect. To do this we had to drag the video we wanted into 'final cut pro' and then we slowed it down they same way as before. We also cut the clip to were we wanted it to. After doing this we had to put a transformation (dissolve) into the video so that it didnt jump from one clip to another. We then added a sound clip to it so that it gave a better effect (Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head). We downloaded the song of youtube using youtube converter, after we had downloaded this we dragged it into 'Final cut pro' and then we used the 'cut' tool to cut the song to were we wanted it to play from. Then we faded the song out to make the video as a whole look a lot better.
Finally, we had finished the video and then we exported it using 'quicktime player'
